The Litium integration connects Litium with Rule and automatically syncs customer, order and cart data. With the integration, you can use data from your online store to create segments, automated customer journeys and personalised communication via email and SMS.
The integration sends events from Litium to Rule when customers add products to the cart, go to checkout, complete a purchase, sign up for the newsletter or have their orders shipped.

All events sent to Rule require that the customer can be identified by an email address. If no email address is registered on the cart, no data can be synced to Rule.
For the integration to work correctly, the customer's email address needs to be updated on the cart at login or during checkout. This is why CartInProgress and CheckoutInProgress are only applied for logged-in customers.

Historical order sync
If you want to start using Rule with your existing order history, previous orders can be synced to Rule.
Litium has a historical sync feature that sends all previous orders to Rule. The sync can be paused, resumed and monitored directly in Litium.
Note that if a historical sync is run more than once, duplicate order records may be created in Rule, since data that has already been synced is not removed automatically.
