What does the statistics for campaigns mean?

Updated this week

In the campaign view, you can see all your sent campaigns as well as a brief summary of the number delivered, percentage opened, and unique clicks;

By hovering the mouse over the different numbers, you will also get a brief description of what the numbers refer to.

To view further statistics for a specific campaign:

  1. Click on the three dots

  2. Then on statistics

Sent, Delivered, Opens and Clicks

Once on the statistics page, you can click on the different categories to get a closer insight into each.

You can also switch between numbers and percentages as well as bars or graph via the buttons at the top right.

You can also choose to display total numbers or unique clicks and opens by clicking the button in the lower right corner of each box.

Click rate

Under click rate, you can see CTR (click-through rate) and CTOR (Click to Open rate).

CTR

CTR is calculated as unique clicks divided by the number of delivered emails.

CTOR

CTOR is calculated as total clicks divided by the number of opens.

These give you a better overview of the level of interaction for your sendout, and you can also view subscriber-specific statistics by clicking on each category.

Bounces / Unsubscribes / Spam

In this section, you can see how many emails could not be delivered, required multiple delivery attempts, or unsubscribed from the sendout.

A "Bounce" means that the email could not reach the recipient.

Hard bounce

A hard bounce means that the recipient could not be reached.

This is either because the email address does not exist, is misspelled, or is actively blocking the email.

A hard bounce can also be applied if a soft bounce occurs three times.

In the case of a hard bounce, the subscriber is automatically unsubscribed from email communication.

Soft bounce

Soft bounces mean that the email did not reach the recipient, but since it does not meet the conditions for a hard bounce, a new delivery attempt is made.

If the system detects that the email address exists but for some reason cannot receive the email at the moment, the system will try again at a later time.

If the email address still cannot be reached after three attempts, it is counted as a hard bounce, after which the subscriber is unsubscribed.

Unsubscribes and spam reports

Unsubscribes

An unsubscribe occurs via the included link that is part of our standard templates or via a custom unsubscribe link in the recipient's email client.

When a subscriber unsubscribes, they can no longer receive marketing via email.

Spam reports

If recipients mark the email in question as junk/spam, this will be shown in this section.

The recipient is still active, but future emails will be delivered to their junk folder.

Detail view

Once inside the statistics tool, you can click on each category for a more detailed insight.

There, you can among other things choose a time span, numbers or percentages, as well as bar or graph view just like on the main statistics page.

Performance

In the performance view, you can see a visual representation of the statistics based on numbers over the specified time frame.

Specific performance is available for each category if you open the detail view.

Subscriber list

You can also see the subscriber list for each category at the bottom of the page.

Under Clicks, you can see the subscriber list for each specific link by clicking the icon to the right of the link.
