How do links work in SMS?

  1. Click Rate: In order to track the click rate in Rule, the link must contain "https://". This makes the link trackable and allows for follow-up on click frequency in the statistics, after your mailing has been sent. Example: https://www.rule.com/newsletter/why-email-marketing/
  2. Link Shortening: Since SMS costs per number of characters, there is a built-in link shortener in Rule that automatically shortens links. This is provided that you enter "https://" in the link. Example: As above, i.e. https://www.rule.com/newsletter/why-email-marketing/
  3. Keep Original Link: If you do not want the link to be shortened, you need to remove "https://" and only write "www". Example: www.rule.com/newsletter/why-email-marketing/
  4. Custom Domain Link: Rule can also create custom/internal links upon request. Contact our support for assistance, support@rule.com.
