Editing templates using the classic editor
In this article, we will explain how you can edit the basic templates available to every user after registration and style updates in the Brand Style section.
The changes you make will be applied to the template code and will be available for every campaign you creat after the changes are made.
Please note! These changes will not apply to campaigns created before the changes were made to the template.
What happens after updating font and color styles for text and background in the Brand Style tab?
Each user has access to two types of templates:
Your templates – these templates reflect the Brand Style changes made by you
Templates from Rule – templates with static styles that are not linked to the Brand Style.
To edit a template in the classic editor:
Click on “Content
Then select “Template Editor"
After that, choose the template you want to edit.
To edit template elements in the classic editor, you need to select the element you want to modify. After that, the editing panel will open at the top of the window, offering various categories for editing or adding text, links, images, and custom fields.
Elements of the Toolbar
These elements define the font weight, font style, and the appearance of decorative lines in the text.
These elements can be used to change the alignment of content within a block.
These elements will help you create ordered and unordered lists
These elements allow you to add and remove links in the text.
Additionally, keep in mind that you can edit a link by double-clicking on it.
This element allows you to add a new image to a block. Also, when adding an image, you can adjust settings when creating it such as size, link, alignment and similar.
These elements allow you to change the text color and the color for the text highlight.
These toolbar elements allow you to adjust font settings: font family, font size, and line height.
This editing panel element allows you to add a button to the template.
Double-clicking the button opens a window where you can change the button's text, URL and style.
Custom fields allow you to add any fields that were previously added to the Custom Fields tab, as well as standard subscriber fields (email, phone number, language), links to remote content, and date. The added fields will be replaced with the corresponding subscriber data when sent to the subscriber.
Using the 'Source' element, you can view and manually edit the entire template's code. Please note: any changes made this way require a solid understanding of HTML and CSS. Edits may lead to Emails not being displayed properly in email clients.
