Why are there more subscribers than the number of people receiving mailings?
In this article, we will go through why the number of subscribers is higher than the number of recipients for your mailings.
What we will cover:
- Explanation
- What do the different subscriber statuses mean?
Explanation
In the subscriber view, you can click on "All" to see different statuses for your subscribers. You can see 'All', 'Active', 'Pending', 'Supressed', and 'Without tag'. There may be differences in the number between all subscribers and active subscribers. Tags, which in Rule represent different lists of subscribers, do not reach all subscribers when they are added to mailings, unless a subscriber is supressed.
Therefore, the number of active subscribers and the subscribers you add to your mailings may be different.
What do the different subscriber statuses mean?
- All, here you can see the total number of subscribers on your account, regardless of status
- Active, is the number of subscribers who are currently active in your account and with whom you can communicate
- Without tag, you can see which subscribers do not belong to any specific tag. It is important that these subscribers are placed in at least one tag in order to send mailings to them, as each mailing requires adding a tag or segment.
